Mollie King news: The Strictly star has shared her holiday tips
Mollie King, 30, is best known for being a member of girl band, The Saturdays.
More recently, she appeared on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing with partner AJ Pritchard and managed to dance her way into the semi-finals.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Mollie revealed her favourite tricks to destress whilst abroad, and how she relaxed on her most recent holiday to Sweden.
Mollie said: “I love going away in general, I think it’s such a good way to unwind and destress.
I love a holiday where I can be really active and adventurous, but I also love a beach holiday where I can just lie there and really relax
“I love a holiday where I can be really active and adventurous, but I also love a beach holiday where I can just lie there and really relax.”
The What About Us singer continued: “You’ve really just got to throw yourself into the culture of wherever you are.”
Many women can find packing stressful, but not Mollie, who revealed this as her number one packing trick to maximise space: “Roll your clothes because you can fit so much more in than if you just fold them normally.
“If you just roll them up like pancakes, that saves so much space.”
Mollie King news: The blonde beauty was one of the most popular dancers on Strictly Come Dancing
Mollie uses her holiday time to relax, as the singer-songwriter has a demanding work schedule, training for up to twelve hours a day whilst starring on Strictly.
To help her unwind on holiday, the blonde beauty revealed this simple trick.
“I love it when I can go on holiday and leave my phone in the room. I think when you carry it around with you, whether it’s in your handbag or beach bag, then you just forget and pick it up and before you know it, you’re scrolling through things – whether it’s work emails or social media.
“It’s just such a habit for us all to do. I think it’s a good thing to actually leave it, put it somewhere and go without it”.
Happy International Women’s Day! You’re my best friend in the whole world and I loved every minute in Sweden with you! You’re the strongest woman I know, thank you for always inspiring me and being there for me along the way ❄️☃️
She continued: “I think going on holiday is a really good time to switch off, get off the grid and just really zone out, because we spend so much time on our phones when we’re back at home.
Whilst Mollie admitted she loves using her phone to take photos and listen to music on holiday, she also likes to have a digital detox and take in her surroundings.
“I don’t think that everything needs to be documented or put up online. I think it’s enough for you to just take it in and appreciate it”, Mollie revealed.
Leaving her phone in the room was something Mollie vowed to do during her most recent holiday to Sweden.
The 30-year-old recently jetted off to a treehouse escape with her mum to celebrate the new ‘Off the Grid’ campaign from Booking.com, and the launch of the campaign is to coincide with National Day of Unplugging (a concept born in the US) which is from 9th March to 10th March 2018.
When asked what she would be getting up to while there, seeing the Northern Lights was on the gorgeous blonde’s bucket list, as well as taking long walks and using the time to switch off and enjoy her mum’s company.
On the Radio 1 co-host’s Instagram, she posted a snap of the two together. The caption read: “Happy International Women’s Day! You’re my best friend in the whole world and I loved every minute in Sweden with you!” The pair looked in high spirits, with Mollie wrapped up in a cosy black faux fur coat.
