Meghan Markle: The new royal family member has rules to abide by
Meghan Markle, 36, joined the royal family last month after marrying Prince Harry, 33.
Since then, she has been on a number of official events since becoming part of the royal family, with members such as Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.
She recently joined the Queen on the royal train while visiting the UK during their first outing together.
However, she has had to change her lifestyle when travelling compared to when she was an actress.
There is one strict rule that she has to abide by when with the royal family.
Meghan will no longer be able to sign autographs when meeting members of the public
Meghan will no longer be able to sign autographs when meeting members of the public.
When she was an actress, she was often seen signing autographs for fans as part of the job when she played her character Megan in TV series Suits.
Royal family members are forbidden from signing autographs for fears that it could be forged or replicated.
A few members have broken this rule over the years, with Prince Charles signing one for a victim of the UK floods in 2010. Prince Harry also wrote: “Get well soon” on a girls cast in 2010.
Meghan recently wrote a note for a young woman while visiting Cardiff, writing: “ Hi Kaitlin”.

Meghan’s husband also doesn’t partake in another popular trend when meeting the public; selfies.
In 2015, he said in Australia that “I hate selfies,” to a fan, saying they were bad.
They are advised against within the royal family, something which Meghan explained to a fan while in Nottingham.
According to OK!, she told a fan: “We’re not allowed to do selfies,” when asked for one.
Queen Elizabeth is also not a fan, previously saying that she missed the “eye contact” she often got before people started taking photographs.

Along with the no autograph and no selfie rule, Meghan will also have to learn new rules when travelling.
The 36-year-old will always have to travel with a black outfit, in case a royal family member dies when abroad.
She also has a number of ways that she avoids jet lag, which she revealed on her old blog The Tig.
Wiping down her plane seat is a way she prevents getting sick when travelling.
Other travel advice she follows is to make sure she eats locally and sleeps on the plane to stay healthy.
